Holiday Cheer from the Library

If you are getting in the mood for the holidays, don’t forget the library.  We have many old favorite movies and some you may have never seen.  For instance, we have many versions of A Christmas Carol, including Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Scrooge, and Scrooged with Bill Murray.

If you do a catalog search narrowed down to “videos,” enter keyword “Christmas,” and you will get a long list which includes television series that have a holiday episode.  There are many titles in the children’s area starring everyone from Alvin to the Wiggles.  Adults may choose action (Die Hard), sentimental favorites (It’s a Wonderful Life), comedy (Elf, Home Alone) etc.

Another source of holiday cheer is the Music CD collection near the checkout desk.  Go around to the far side and look for the shelf in the middle marked “Holiday.”  There are many wonderful choices with all-time favorites.
