New Book Club

Would you like to explore the world of Guernsey in the Chanel Islands just after World War II. Well that is exactly what Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrow do in The Guernsey Literary and Potato Pie Society. During the war the Channel Islands were occupied by the Germans.  The main character, Juliet Ashton, corresponds through letters, with many delightful islanders and hear’s their story of what happened during the war.  The discovery of both funny and heartbreaking stories of the islanders, leads Juliet to fly over and meet them all!

If this book interests you and you’d like to attend our book discussion on June 19, from 2:00-3:30, then come to the library and check out a copy of “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Pie Society” .  The new library book club is called “A Novel Bunch” and we hope to have a lot of fun, interesting discussions on a myriad of books!
